Brew Your Perfect Cup
Brewing tea is an art that requires precision, patience, and the right technique. Often even the finest leaves can lose their magic if they are brewed incorrectly. Here’s how to achieve your perfect cup of tea.
Step 1: Use High-Quality Water
Water makes up 99% of your tea, so its quality is crucial. Use filtered or spring water to bring out the full depth of flavor. Avoid using distilled water, as it lacks minerals essential for extracting tea’s richness.
Step 2: Heat to the Ideal Temperature
Each type of tea requires a different water temperature to unlock its full potential. Don’t over-steep your tea to the point where it gets bitter to the taste to get the good stuff.
Step 3: Start with 2 rounded teaspoons of leaves per 12-16 oz water, or 1 tea bag for 12-16 oz water.
Steep 4: Use a good Kettle.
Tea leaves need room to open up to brew nicely! Make sure your kettle is large enough to accommodate this. If the leaves are bunched up while brewing, your tea won’t be as tasty!
Tea is more than a drink—it’s an experience. Observe its aroma, color, and taste. Notice how flavors change as it cools. With practice, you’ll develop a deep appreciation for the nuances of each variety.
A perfectly brewed cup of tea is an invitation to slow down and savor the moment.
